PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS
WHERE CAN I FIND THE AVAILABLE EVENTS?
On the COMPETITIONS there is all the available offer to which you can participate. By clicking on the filters on the page you can find those of interest and also consult all the finished events.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR EVENTS OR CHAMPIONSHIPS?
To register for the events, just click on the registration button on the REGISTRATION tab of the event, championship or hotlap session
HOW DO I WITHDRAW FROM AN EVENT OR CHAMPIONSHIP?
You can withdraw from events with a certain amount of time in advance without this having any consequences. It is then no longer possible and the lack of participation will worsen their MWI indicator (which tracks the miss-sharing events) and thus the DSR (Driver Safety Ranking).
To know the time limit, consult the PLATFORM CONFIGURATIONS
HOW DO I REGISTER THE TEAM?
You must own or be co-admin of a team, and the event must include the participation of teams.
In each event or championship, under the section for the registration of the drivers there is the section for the registration of the teams.
HOW DO I WITHDRAW THE TEAM FROM AN EVENT OR CHAMPIONSHIP?
It is possible to withdraw the team from an event or championship at any time, after having done so it is also possible to re-enter it.
Withdrawal from the championship automatically causes the interruption of any engagements with the drivers
HOW MANY DRIVERS CAN ENGAGE IN A CHAMPIONSHIP?
The limitations on the engagements are established in the single championship or event and are visible on the page of the respective activity
HOW ARE PROTESTS MANAGED?
Both in the page of each event and of each championship there are the items in the left menu to enter the private section for managing reports.
Reporting is the tool that allows you to report an episode to the Race Direction even if you are not involved. Each report is autonomous and can be completed by images and videos.
The Race Direction has no obligation to take it into consideration or to transform it into a sanction.
You can create reports in a time window managed by the PLATFORM PARAMETERS even if each organizer can modify them for their own needs
HOW TO CHECK IF I HAVE RECEIVED PENALTIES AND HOW CAN I APPEAL?
Whenever you receive one or more penalties for an event, you will also receive a notification both via email and on the platform.
The penalties are available on the event or championship page on the left menu.
Not all penalties allow the appeal (the decision is up to the publisher) but if it is possible, in the consultation of the details of the penalties you will find the button to object and then fill in the reasons.
There are terms to appeal that you can find on the PARAMETERS OF THE PLATFORM although each organizer can modify them for their own needs
WHERE CAN I FIND THE GAME SERVERS AND EVERYTHING I NEED TO TAKE PART IN AN EVENT OR CHAMPIONSHIP?
Within the activity page you will always find all the useful information such as servers, their passwords, the necessary material (mods, tracks) and any other useful information.
On the same page you will also find a box where the organizer sends notices to users but also related news
WHERE CAN I READ THE RESULTS OR RANKINGS OF AN EVENT OR CHAMPIONSHIP?
From the page of the event, the championship or the hotlap session there are always buttons to consult the standings and results. They are present both on the left menu and on the central menu.

STORE
WHAT I FIND IN THE STORE?
In the STORE section you can find everything that is purchasable or simply activatable or downloadable in order to participate in the competitions on AGONE of the different organizers.
The page is divided into 2 parts, on the left side you find your wallet that contains what you own as spendable credits, cards, shots, items while on the right side everything that the publisher makes available. At the top of the page you find the list of publishers (i.e., organizers) to select. Each organizer can adopt different participation policies and therefore has its own store for participation in its competitions.
HOW TO BUY ON THE STORE
To make purchases, simply place the items in the shopping cart first and then proceed with the transaction by choosing from the payment methods made available by the publisher.
You can get discounts by using coupons that the publisher may have granted you or you can use your accumulated credit as a priority
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLAT CARDS AND SHOTS
The publisher can provide both flat cards and shots, both tools allow you to participate in competitions.
Flat cards give you access to every publisher competition and have a specific duration (decided by the publisher).
Shots on the other hand a kind of micro-cards that give you access to a single competition so with a shot you can participate in a single event or a single championship stage. If you want to participate in a championship using only shots you will need as many shots as there are stages in the championship.
Although the publisher decides its commercial policy, cards are particularly suitable for assiduous participation while shots for less frequent participation.
ITEM
In the store you can also find ITEMs i.e. anything downloadable made available always by the specific publisher is that can also be included as an indispensable element for participation in a competition.
In the ITEMs you can find models and tracks sold as addons or templates for your own skins or even plugins to be installed on your own computer.
INVITE CODES.
They are granted on a discretionary basis by the publisher to one or more users and allow the recipient to be able to earn credits.
The user will use the invitation to get a new user to sign up on the platform and, at the time that user makes his or her first purchase on the store of the publisher from which he or she received the invitation, he or she will receive as a reward a percentage, in the form of credits, of what he or she has purchased.
The credits then are expendable for purchases on the store also from the same publisher.
COUPON
They are granted on a discretionary basis by the publisher to one or more users and allow the recipient to get a discount on the purchase of the publisher's store.
There are multiple types of coupons, one-time allowing only one use, expiring valid until a date and can be purposive i.e. for the purchase of specific items or general in order to be able to purchase anything but always on that publisher's store.
GRANT SHOT
A feature available only to team owners or administrators and only upon publisher enablement that allows them to be able to donate their shots to users under contract with their teams.
The purpose is to give team managers the ability to take care of the cost of operation for competitions in lieu of its drivers.
You can grant shots that can be used for any competition or tied to a specific competition.

TYPE OF OFFER
WHAT KIND OF OFFER IS ON THE PLATFORM?
On AGONE you can find different types of events that are:
SINGLE EVENTS also simply called EVENTS are spot events not related to any championship. They can have any format, consisting of one or more manches.
CHAMPIONSHIPS. Like events, they can have any format, even complex ones. These can also have several heats but unlike the event, they have in addition to the results also the drivers' rankings and, if foreseen, that of the teams.
HOTLAP SESSIONS. They are free sessions in which the pilots access the race server and perform hotlaps. They can last from a few hours to several days. They are completed by a ranking that can be standard or ordered by hotlap or evolved where the simple or weighted average over a given number of laps counts.
Hotlap sessions are often used as prequalification sessions for championships or events.
COLLECTIONS. They are not real events but containers (aggregators) of other events. They consist of a page where data, a calendar and other info are provided. They serve to give continuity to events that are by their nature isolated. They can have rankings fed at will.
To understand the meaning of the aggregates just think of a series of single events, hotlap sessions and even championships that all together contribute to achieving a goal. The rankings of the aggregate can decide which users or teams have achieved the highest score among all the events and leagues.
The aggregates can then be used to bring together in a single page an entire competitive season or a path of some events or a training path.
The strength of the aggregate is represented by its flexibility
PROMOTIONS. It is the tool to create more complex activities, typically official leagues. Its flexibility increases when connected to an aggregator, in this way it is possible to create entire paths of activities with different rankings.
WHICH SIMULATORS DOES AGONE SUPPORT?
AGONE supports all major simulators on all types of platforms, PC, XBOX and PLAYSTATION. Its model of integration of game titles also allows it to be made compatible in a short time with each simulator of subsequent publication.

CREATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A TEAM
HOW CAN I REGISTER MY TEAM ON THE PLATFORM?
You can create a team from THIS PAGE where you just need to choose a name and a logo.
The team allows you to make contracts or engagements with drivers, participate in championships and events, creating career and statistics. You can also assign the admin role to other people.
CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE TEAM?
No, each user can own or be an admin of only one team. If more than one team is needed then different drivers must register the different teams.
The different teams, however, are independent and create statistics and results independent of each other
WHAT ARE CONTRACTS AND HOW DO THEY DIFFER FROM ENGAGEMENTS?
Contracts and engagements are 2 different ways of having relationships between teams and drivers. Engagement is an agreement between teams and drivers limited to the event or championship. It is defined and managed within the activity in question and, once this is finished, any bond between the two parties ends.
The contract, unlike the engagement, is defined outside a specific activity and has a predefined duration (at your choice). The bond between the parties is therefore independent of the single championship or event.
When a driver under contract with a team signs up for an event or championship he can participate either as an independent driver or only with his team. He cannot therefore send or accept invitations from other teams.
HOW ARE THE CONTRACTS MANAGED?
If you are a user from HERE you can manage the contract proposals.
If you have a team from TEAM MANAGEMENT you can also manage contracts.

STATISTICS
HOW IS A USER PROFILED?
Each user on the platform is profiled from many points of view with different tools.
All the statistics, results and career of a user are visible on his personal page, the same happens for the teams.
The main user profiling tools are:
DPS (DRIVER PERFORMANCE SKILL) or rather the measurement of a driver's performance. Measure your skill level against that of other drivers.
DSS (DRIVER SAFETY SKILL) or rather the measurement of the level of fairness on the track. It is continuously modified according to the penalties it receives in each activity.
DES (DRIVER EXPERIENCE SKILL) that is the measurement of the level of experience, every activity in which you participate increases the level (it can never lower) and follows a logarithmic trend, i.e. at the beginning it grows quickly, then the growth curve tends to flatten.
The combination of these 3 measurement tools is also used to determine its license (also called standard license). Periodically for each user it is checked whether there are the conditions to change his license, if the values of the 3 indicators mentioned exceed a certain threshold then the best license, vice versa if it falls below a certain level then it gets worse.
HOW DOES RANKING WORK?
The main ranking tool is the DPS (DRIVER PERFORMANCE SKILL) or a skill gauge a pilot than other drivers.
The DPS is not a score accumulation system or its value is not the sum of scores that are acquired on the basis of the results. Instead, it is a system based on the ZERO SUM algorithm, i.e. the sum of the participants' DPS before the event is equal to the sum of the DPS after the event. The ranking is redistributed on the basis of the difference between the expected result before the and the actual result I reach.
The expectation is based on the ranking values before the event.
The DPS has several characterizing points:
IT IS A COMPARATIVE SYSTEM. It means that each driver's score is determined by comparison with the other drivers.
Challenging a driver with a lower ranking does not give any possibility to improve the ranking but there is only the risk of worsening it in case of defeat.
IT DOES NOT NEED ANY SUBJECTIVE PARAMETER OR ELEMENT. Many computing system are based on many parameters, many of which are subjective. Competition format difficulty coefficients (sprint or endurance races), difficulty coefficients based on the type of car or track are all absent in DPS. Our system considers the environmental variables as an element in common between all the participants, the competition takes place between the opponents and not against the track.
AUTONOMOUSLY CORRECTS ERRORS. No system is infallible and the calculation error due to internal or external causes is always possible but the DPS does not require corrections as it can remedy unwanted deviations by itself. An undeserved increase in score results in a greater likelihood of losing score due to increased expectation of results. Peaks generated by errors are then automatically corrected. The same happens in negative cases.
IT IS NOT BASED ON ATTENDANCE FREQUENCY. A score accumulation system rewards the most assiduous drivers and not necessarily the best ones. The DPS does not need to be assiduous, you can be a little assiduous pilot without this impacting on the DPS.
HOW DOES SAFETY SKILL (DSS) WORK?
The SAFETY SKILL measures the level of correctness of a driver in the last 50 events and is activated with a minimum of 5 events.
It can value from 100 to 0 where 100 is identifies a driver with the best behavior. Each sanction causes a reduction of the DSS by one measure depending on the type of sanction. Receiving a 20-second penalty causes a lowering of more than 10 seconds as well as warnings and disqualifications in turn cause other effects.
The only way to see the DSS increase after penalties is to make sure that the event in question is beyond the calculation window, that is, it is beyond the last 50 events.
HOW DOES THE EXPERIENCE SKILL (DES) WORK?
The EXPERIENCE SKILL (DES) measures the experience of a driver and is based both on the amount of competition in which he participates and on the amount of different experiences. Participating in 50 races on different tracks and models will make the indicator grow faster.
WHAT ARE STANDARD LICENSES USED FOR?
The 3 profiling indicators (DPS, DSS, DES) each measure one of the qualities of each user, the license based on these 3 indicators determines the overall level of merit. The inspiring concept is that a driver can be said to be complete if he is fast but also correct and also experienced. If one of the 3 characteristics is missing, the pilot will not be worthy of a license.
Licenses can be used by publishers (event organizers) to select participants in their competitions or to get participants of a similar level.
WHERE DO I SEE MY PROFILE?
On your personal page you can find all statistics and profile data
ARE THERE ANY RANKINGS BASED ON THE PROFILE DATA?
AGONE has several pages dedicated to rankings based on each indicator, DPS, DSS, DES but also on the basis of the average position reached, km traveled and laps completed
HOW ARE CASES OF TIE SCORES HANDLED?
Depending on the type of competition, a different algorithm is used to assign positions to participants (drivers and teams) in the event of a tie. The algorithms check the number of specific results in sequence until the deciding factor is identified.
CHAMPIONSHIP - DRIVERS AND EQUIPE: number of disqualifications, number of wins, number of podiums, average position, number of laps led, average BLA
CHAMPIONSHIP - TEAM: number of wins, number of podiums, average position
AGGREGATES - DRIVERS: number of wins, number of podiums, number of top 10 finishes, average position, best position, number of results, average BLA, number of laps led
AGGREGATES - TEAM: number of wins, number of podiums, number of top 10 finishes, average position
